Role Summary
Ensuring all programs are social inclusive
Key Function

Ensuring that project activities and program designs are inclusive, gender-sensitive, and effectively integrate GESI and MHPSS considerations and women’s empowerment elements. The role focuses on mainstreaming GESI across all programs by ensuring that policies, proposals, log frames, budgets, and organizational systems are gender-responsive and transformative.

Ensures equal participation, protection, and benefits for women, men, youth, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and other vulnerable groups in all organizational interventions.

Developing and updating gender, social inclusion and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) guidelines, tools, and frameworks, as well as leading the implementation of the organization’s Gender Equality Policy, strategies, and action plans.

Review projects and programs from gender and social inclusion perspectives and provides technical guidance and recommendations to program teams. In addition, the role includes designing and implementing standalone GESI-focused projects, organizing capacity-building trainings for staff at different levels, and facilitating mentorship and leadership development opportunities for female staff.

Leads organizational gender audits, monitors the integration and implementation of gender provisions in institutional policies, Furthermore, develops relevant monitoring and evaluation indicators, prepares GESI and MHPSS related reports and documentation, and represents the organization in GESI and MHPSS forums, networks, and technical working groups to strengthen collaboration, advocacy, and learning.

Lead the design and delivery of training on Psychological First Aid (PFA), basic counseling, trauma-informed care, group facilitation, and self-care for staff and partners.
Promote psychological safety and staff wellbeing within the organization through preventive approaches, awareness creation, and responsive support mechanisms.
